ID-923 – Electrostatic Charge Decay Meter
Building on the success of the popular ID-489 and the ID-917 Charge Decay Meters, the ID-923 is a next generation microprocessor based instrument which has been developed to evaluate the antistatic properties of plastics and other materials by measuring their charge decay characteristics.
Antistatic materials are widely used for the packaging of semiconductor devices, for work station bench tops, flooring, seating and for operator clothing.
The antistatic properties of these materials depend on the rate at which an accumulated electrostatic charge on the surface is dissipated.
This method simulates the conditions of the practical situation and allows a more realistic assessment of the antistatic and charge dissipative properties of the material.
The effect is then measured and displayed on the TFT display and can be downloaded to a PC using a Type A to Type B USB cable.
Dimensions: 530 x 342 x 162mm.
